1. Each player will be placed into one of two groups, i.e. Group X and Group Y.
2. One player from Group X will play with 1 player from Group Y, and pairs will be drawn out of a hat. Players from Group X can ONLY play with players from Group Y.
3. Once all pairings have been drawn, the first 2 pairs out of the hat will go on to court 1 and play against the 2nd pair out of the hat, etc., and play 4 games against each other, so the result could be 4-0, 3-1 or 2-2.
4. The winners stay on the same court BUT split up. (If the score is 2-2 then a sudden death point is played to decide who stays on the court as winners.) Losers will move to the next court (court 2) and split up, but still with the formation X + Y.
5. The tournament referee keeps a score sheet of each player’s results, so each player must report back to the referees after each match.
6. The top two players from each of the groups will play in the final. The winner of group X will play with the runner-up of group Y, and vice versa. The final will be the first to win a set (tie-break at 6-6).
7. The tournament referee’s decision on any matter is FINAL
